Blog Four - Picking Activities
When I first started coming up with ideas, activities were some of the first things I started brainstorming. The first night I started working on my capstone, I already had plenty of activities planned. I started off by thinking of the activities I had done at rehearsals or in theatre class. I couldn't think of anything off the top of my head that would be inclusive for younger children, so I started browsing websites. I eventually settled on a few warm up games, tongue twisters, and a stage direction game. When I started making the actual schedule for the workshop, my whole plan had to change. I didn't have enough time for everything I wanted to do, so I narrowed my list down to one warm up game, one stage direction game, and I scrapped the tongue twisters completely. I was able to include everything that I absolutely wanted to include, so I was quite content with the way my schedule came out.
